Brand

What They Are and Why They Matter

Brands help organize your products and give your customers a simple way to browse items from a specific label or manufacturer. If you work with multiple brands, adding them to Sellmitra keeps your catalogue structured and improves how shoppers discover your products.

Why You Should Add Brands
  1. Better organization
  2. When you assign products to a brand, shoppers can quickly filter your catalogue and find what they want. It reduces clutter and makes your store feel more professional.

  3. Stronger SEO
  4. Each brand gets its own dedicated URL. Search engines treat these pages like category-style landing pages. With a good meta title and meta description, brand pages can rank independently, which helps you attract organic traffic for branded searches.

  5. Improved customer trust
  6. Displaying products under recognized brand names boosts credibility. Shoppers are more confident when they see trusted brands presented clearly.

  7. Higher sales conversion
  8. Brand-specific pages often convert better because customers browsing a brand are usually closer to a purchase decision. Grouping all brand products in one place reduces friction.

How Brand URLs Work
When you create a brand, Sellmitra generates a unique brand page using this structure:
hostname/brand_name/brand_id
Example
If your store is hosted at:https://mystore.sellmitra.comand you add a brand called “Urban Threads” with ID 64f2b12cd1..., the brand URL becomes:https://mystore.sellmitra.com/urban-threads/64f2b12cd1...
Sellmitra uses both the human-readable brand name and the internal brand ID.

The name helps users and search engines understand the page. The ID ensures the link remains unique even if two brands share similar names.

What Appears on a Brand Page

Every product you assign to that brand is automatically visible on its brand URL. You don’t need to manage this manually. This creates a single, clean landing page for all related items.

A typical brand page includes:

  • Brand name
  • Brand description
  • Brand logo
  • SEO metadata (title and description)
  • Product list for that brand
Brand Status Options

When creating or updating a brand, you can choose its status:

  • Active: Visible to customers and included in your storefront navigation.
  • Draft: Saved but not visible on the storefront.
  • Inactive: Hidden from customers without deleting the brand.

This lets you prepare brand pages ahead of time or temporarily hide ones you aren’t using.

SEO Tips for Brand Pages

If you want strong ranking performance, set:

  • Meta Title: Include the brand name and one keyword.
  • Meta Description: Briefly describe what the brand sells.
  • Description: Add a few sentences about the brand’s identity or product range.

Search engines love structured, relevant landing pages. A well-optimized brand page often attracts more traffic than individual product pages.
